This chapter examines the awards arising from international investment instruments and related jurisprudence concerning the challenge of domestic enforcement and execution. It focuses on five domestic court decisions: four court decisions involving challenges by states to the enforcement and/or execution of investment awards in national courts under the ICSID Convention; and one recent case of addressing the enforcement or execution of a BIT arbitration award.
