This chapter addresses those rules that generally frame arbitration under the UNCITRAL Rules. The 2010 UNCITRAL Rules address in Article 1(1) the general scope of application of the Rules, in Article 1(2) the applicable version of the Rules (2010 or 1976), and in Article 1(3) the relationship between the proceedings and the mandatory norms of law of the place of arbitration.
